(Event) Emergency Drill (updated: September 30, 2011)

The City of Tsukuba and the Tsukuba International Association organized an emergency drill for the residents of Tsukuba on September 25, 2011 from 8:00am - 12:00pm. Among the many Japanese residents, a total of 22 foreign residents participated in this 4 hour event. They simulated a magnitude 7 earthquake and learned procedures of what to do in case of such a disaster. Participants played roles of injured victims and rescuers and experienced hands-on the proper steps to take.
