Tsukuba is a city with rich natural scenery and a long distinguished history. The citizens of Tsukuba work to unite the different values and cultures that gather in the city, learning to respect one another and help each other in times of need. We promise the following.

1. To make a comfortable, considerate city.
2. To make a city where Japan meets the world, and many cultures come together.
3. To make a city where the people of the world can gather and prosper.
4. To make a city where the dreams of humanity come true.
5. To make a city where water and greenery, clean air and blue sky, people and nature and science can all live in harmony.
